MUSEik week in Graz

Heeeeeyyy oooooh. You ready to rock?!?! Alright. This week we had some music in our exchange life as we attended a concert by the rock band MUSE here in Graz. This was surprisingly our first music excursion for the trip, I usually like to go to a lot of shows, but the focus has been on other things this time around. On top of the MUSE concert there was a ukulele festival in Graz last weekend, and we decided to walk by, so I will add a few pics of that as well.

The concert was at the Stadthalle, which is the local multitasking event hall. I have to say that it could have worked better as there were long lines to the cloak room and since it was raining outside everyone had their jackets to take there. The concert was great tho. I had seen MUSE before a few years ago in a festival in Finland, but it was the first time for Anne. Not fully sure how much I can describe the show so I will add a few clips from the event (hope there is no copyright issues etc). MUSE’s music is traditional rock with lots of electric effects to spice up the tone. This also shows in their stage performance and theatrics as there was lots of LED screens and clothes and all sorts of futuristic designs and themes. The newest album that they are promoting is called Simulation theory and the whole show feels like you are in a weird simulation. The show was a lot of fun and Anne seemed to like it too at least by the amount of humming that has been going on in the apartment since the show. They just started their European tour for the summer, so if you are interested check out if you can catch tickets. They will be in Finland around mid-June, so just a hint hint for all the Finnish rock bros and brosettes. Think that is all for this time, I seem to have so many blogs to write and more just keep coming. I will try to write a bit about how school is progressing and all, so hopefully I can squeeze that in somewhere next week. See you later and keep on rocking people.

The ukulele festival main stage was on top of the familiar Schlossberg

It really is summery in here

Towards the end they brought up a huge robot skeleton thing
